This painting is deeply personal to me.
I grew up as my father’s Ghar Ki Lakshmi — his daughter, his little girl, and a cherished part of the home I grew up in.
With marriage, I stepped into a new home and began building one of my own. Today, my husband and I call it Lakshmi Niwas.
This work is about that beautiful journey — leaving one home, carrying its love and blessings with you, and making another home bloom.
For me, Lakshmi is not just a symbol of wealth. She is love, abundance, family, strength and the woman who brings warmth wherever she goes.
